hurray some breeze - not a huge amount - 12 plus but at least some wind. kiters have been out. boats and some windsurfers. Maxed out at around 15ish. Anyway Jo and I are in tonight as too tired from kiting all day for the last couple of days and as its Noahs first New year.

Weather wise Christmas was crap. well not too crap. hot and sunny but no real breeze. all weak cold front after weak cold front.
Party wise Christmas was great. Had one of those Murder Mystery things with everyone dressing up. lots of fun. Noah had lots of presents for his firsts Christmas and loves the tree.
This week is the busiest week of the year and all of a sudden after being slow for several months, boom there are people everywhere. One restaurant owner yesterday was wanting his " sleepy little island back again". it will be over soon enough. about the 2nd it all calms down and everyone goes home.

Just in from a great day. Cold and windy cold front. It has been stalled north of us for a few days frustrating all with just about enough wind to kite but not quite enough. Today it decided to visit. most of the tourists probably hated today because it rained on and off, but the kiters and windsurfers had a blast.
18-20 kn out of the north north west. so we went round the back of the island to the sand bar. Veronique got up and rode for the first time on a 5.0 going both ways and Regis stopped walking and started riding up wind. a great day.
some breeze hurray, I havent managed to get out for a while, what with building a room for noah and a shade for the deck for Christmas. Had a great session this afternoon. felt good to be on the water.
the island is starting to get busy for Christmas. which is great as we have been pretty quiet for a while.
still trying to get my weather station down. hope to have it here in the next week or so.
Races again last saturday. lots of fun. Had 7 racers. everyone is getting better and tactics are starting to show. all the races were very close. I think next month we will start a league. If you are down at the beginning of jan come over and join in. first saturday of every month at 2pm.
weather has been ok nothing to get toooooo exicted about but have been out on the water most days.
