Another great day.
Dennis and Cindy come out with me this morning went up north and did a long down winder - 4 miles in all - had one kite up and they swapped in and out,. rode all the way back to town. both were completely stoked.
Wim and Chantel learned to sail. Junior took them on a one hour lesson and they loved it.
Michael came out kiting this afternoon and another kiter was born.

Had quite a few kiting lessons this week. perfect breeze all last week 12 plus every day some days up to 18kn.
Julian and Karen went down to Placencia to see the Whale sharks - we set them up with Seahorse dive shop and they had an amazing time. they saw these huge creatures on every dive. on one dive they had three sightings which them coming within touching distance. They went to the Blue hole today with Amigos which should have been another great day.
Matt has started getting upwind on his kite. has been going down wind for a while but everything has suddenly clicked and his wakeboarding skills will now start to shine.
Phil and Erik had their first experience of kiting. both had a great time. erik managed to get on the board and ride all the way to the beach in his first session. great.
Wil had his first windsurfing lesson. hung around all day reading mags and books to learn more. think he may be here alot. again great.
Cindy and Dennis are having a day off and went over to Belize city to take in the sites.
Noah is growing like a weed….. running around, loves going out on the boats - sailed the hobie back on sunday and he fell asleep in my lap.
Sunday and today turned into diving and sailing days with the weak cold front coming through. Had a couple of people out at the Sailsports Nth but all going downwind. Junior had the Getaway out on one hull. you should have seen the grin.
Island is getting busy with easter visitors. lots of lovely boats up from the Rio Dulce.
Boots seems to be getting better. she had 4 fits in one day. very scary.
The lady that sells fruit on the road by Ramons was hit and injured by a golf cart today. the British army helicopter came over to rush her to the city. fingers crossed for her.
not much wind this week. had a great day on Friday 5.0 weather in the morning waves picking up. I went out on the 13m kite totally over powered. Was due to be the same today but there is a cold front coming in tomorrow so backed off completely. all the boys came up to the Essene way for a downwinder. just about made it on the 17’s - wind turned SE so ended up an upwinder not a downwinder.
Tucker went out on a revo today - off of the start. did really well and also making his first gybes.
Phil was disappointed as missed the wind yesterday and then it didnt blow today.
On a sadder note a local boy died today in hospital. The community raised over $70,000 for the family for hospital expenses.
had a aouple of relaxing days. wind today maxed out at 9 knots. most of the day hovered around 6kn. still had the hobies out. Noah had his first sailing and kayaking lesson. loved every minute of it.
more wind on Friday and Saturday.
Weather has been great. lovely days, some windy days Saturday was great went up to the Essene way where we have our new place and kited up there with Picho and Mike - staying at Captain Morgans with his girlfriend for the week. They then did a down winder all the way into town.
Sunday, yesterday and today was maxing around 13 or 14kn but most of the time hanging around 10-12kn. great for windsurfin lessons and the hobies. Sam came out this morning - think he is 10 - got straight on the start board and 2.5 and back and forth no problem. I think we have another one hooked - his dad was soooo pleased.
Island has slowed down for a couple of days. think it will pick back up by the end of the week. North has been open as much as we can. boat and staff problems - so if anyone has been by there and we are closed please just give us a call and we can get what ever you need up there. Beach is great. wide open. great for kiting/ windsurfing/ everything in fact.
My folks had to leave suddenly today. My Nan had a stroke yesterday, we think she will be ok, but mum and dad need to get back to see her. All a bit abrupt. they were due to be here for another week. Noah was having so much fun with them, he is going to miss them like crazy.
